Lamb Nativity

Spring would not be Spring in Cumbria, northern England, without lots of new lambs. Local parlance for the proud parent is a yow. Not a sheep. Only foreigners (people who don’t live beyond Cumbria) call them sheep.

Thanks, Charles, for sending in this reminder of what Spring is all about!

If you still have it could you resend the local song? The Helm Wind? All those yows flying away in terrible gusts?

Hugh in Bangkok!

Mint sauce! Works wonders! Just a splash of well made gravy and some rosemary. Best lamb in the world!
