Brigitte’s Pick: Cell C. South African style protest.

Hugh Paxton’s Blog thanks Brigitte for this bit of in your face civic activism legally upheld in South Africa. The bill board is allowed to stay. This must be driving Cell C berserk. And delighting anybody who has used their indifferent, arrogant and customer unfriendly services.

Just a hunch – but I suspect the judge may have enjoyed Cell C’s facilities and that might have had a bearing on the verdict.

I’m not sure whether this approach would work in the US – too many lawyers, perhaps.

I reckon Australians and Canadians might lap it up.

One thing’s for sure, putting up your billboard (particularly outside a large retail outlet) is more eye-catching than writing a letter to the local newspaper or, even less effectively, a letter of complaint to the company concerned.
