Some ideas on helping INTERPOL and : Zambia hosts INTERPOL training session against wildlife crime

Hugh Paxton’s Blog reckons this was probably a good one. But I was picking my daughter up from school and didn’t have time to make it to Zambia!

Bottom line is if you see real wildlife crime you don’t have to fly to Zambia to tell them about it. Tell them here, and now. Confidentiality is assured. You could even tell me if their switchboard is busy then I could tell them. Photographic evidence always of value. This is about international wildlife crime not some fellow kicking chickens about in a wonky, overcrowded truck. I don’t approve of that sort of bad behavior but it isn’t worth mobilizing INTERPOL. Anything serious – I’m thinking large scale shark finning activities, anything with primates, pangolins, ivory, skins, timber, corals, large numbers of fish, somebody with Chinese connections, that sort of stuff. You can make a difference. Just give a call and take the photos. Selfies are fine if everything behind you is identifiable! Just look dumb and take selfies! Nobody shoots a tourist who looks dumb and takes selfies!
